SIBCTC coordinates and advocates for the interests of member unions and their workers. We promote solidarity among unions, organize collective actions, negotiate with employers, and address issues related to labor rights, wages, benefits, and working conditions.

Who We Are

Serving Southeast Iowa

The Southeast Iowa Building and Construction Trades Council has been serving the Southeast Iowa area since 1959 by promoting professional construction jobs in our communities. Our goal is to work with public bodies, developers and contractors to promote an alliance that ensures local workers are used in the construction of projects throughout our area.

Working to build Alliant Energy’s new 900-acre 150MW solar farm in northeastern Lee County. At peak will have around 180 workers onsite.
